The Protesting Afghan Women call for a widespread march against the Taliban

As the third anniversary of the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan is drawing closer, many women’s right and human rights activists called for a widespread march against the Taliban Group.
The call is addressed to the people of Afghanistan, civil society organizations, protest movements, military members of the previous government, and supporters of freedom and democracy and urges them to “uprise.”
“August 15, (the day of fall of Afghanistan) reminds us of the tragic day of handing over the country and the nation to a terrorist group which resulted in terror, gender apartheid, rape, genocide, murder, forced migration, and complete elimination of women from public sphere” says the statement of the call.
According to these protesting women, enduring this group which causes such a great deal of pain and suffering is not acceptable for any conscious people.
The Protesting women have chosen August 15, 2024, for the widespread march and urged all the Justice-seeking men and women in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran to join forces to stand up against slavery and fight for freedom. They also stated, “by joining this protest, fulfill your humane and conscientious duty.”
After taking over of Afghanistan, the Taliban regime have imposed suffocating restrictions on women and girls which has always raised the national and international criticism. These restrictions are such as education ban for women and girls, employment restriction, forced hijab, travel and recreation restrictions etc.
