Five Hazara passengers were shot dead on the Darreh-e-Suf, Mazar-e sharif route. This painful event took place on Tuesday night,26 April in Kotal Rig.
Images posted on social media show that passengers’ hands were tied behind their backs, tortured, and then killed in the most horrific way possible.
Khalifa Sarwar, Khairullah, and Ghulam Sakhi from Nawamad village, Mohammad Yunus and Baz Mohammad from Shababeshk and Khajeh Boland villages were the victims of this terrorist attack.
According to local sources in Dar-e-Suf, all the victims were civilians and poor workers who had no previous political affiliation or government duties.
Masoumeh Khavari former minister at the Ministry of Communications and Technology condemned the incident and said “The Taliban are responsible for this incident”
However, no group has claimed responsibility for the killings, and the Taliban have made no comments or statements in response to this heinous act.
Killings of civilians, especially Hazaras, have a long history in Afghanistan. in a similar act last year in Baghlan province the terrorists first separated Hazara workers and then shot them dead. In 2017, 13 coal miners from the Hazara ethnic minority were brutally murdered in Baghlan province’s Tala and Barfak districts.
